J1939 Instruments & Controls
At the heart of most modern, emissions-compliant engines is the Electronic Control Unit or Module (ECU/ECM). And many of these use the CAN-based SAE J1939 protocol to broadcast engine data: running parameters, active fault codes, stored fault and service history.
Murphy were the first to produce operator-friendly diagnostic displays for the latest ECU-based J1939 engines, and our MurphyLink®, PowerView® and PowerCore® products continue to lead the field today. We work with engine manufacturers and major OEMs to ensure engine, vehicle and machinery data is displayed and available, where and when you want it.
Many Murphy products also operate with other CAN protocols, including NMEA2000, CANopen, manufacturer-proprietary and freeform CAN. Our PowerVision Configuration Studio® and other software development tools allow full OEM-customization of display graphics, operator controls, input/output functions and CAN messaging - everything needed for seamless man-machine interface and control.
MurphyLink, PowerView and PowerCore devices – displays, gauges, controllers and input/output modules – can be supplied as components, or integrated into complete Murphy control panels and dashboards. All are designed with outstanding reliability and environmental protection in mind.
