The transition to modern engine technology has forced a lot of change in a very short time – ECUs, CAN networks, displays, GPS... But workboats are built to last, and many in the commercial marine sector are sticking with tried-and-tested Murphy analogue instruments and controls for non-ECU 'mechanical' engines.

When the time does come to replace or upgrade, Murphy can ease the transition. We have digital displays and controls designed for the latest ECU/CAN-based engines and equipment, but many – often with the help of our I/O and Power Distribution Modules – will also work with older workboat engines and systems.

From individual components to full control panels and systems, Murphy can supply both standard, 'plug-and-go' models or OEM-specified, custom solutions.

And there's no compromise on durability: all the latest Murphy displays and instruments include class-leading environmental protection against water ingress, temperature and shock/vibration.
